We are proud to announce that Natantis has been named one of the Top 3 winners in the prestigious Santander X UK Awards 2023, held on December 7th at Unity Place, Milton Keynes. Competing against over 1,000 of the UK’s leading startups, Natantis stood out for its work in sepsis diagnostics, highlighting our innovative solution: iSEP-SEQ.
iSEP-SEQ is a cell-free circulating DNA (cfDNA) metagenomic sequencing workflow can identify pathogens at the species level-including viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites-directly from a minimal blood sample. By delivering rapid and accurate pathogen identification, iSEP-SEQ aims to enable timely, targeted antimicrobial therapy, reducing the need for invasive procedures and improving patient outcomes.
The Santander X UK Awards, now in their 13th year, celebrate the most innovative and disruptive early-stage startups across the UK. This year’s competition featured a diverse range of businesses, all vying for equity-free funding and business support. The finalists pitched their ventures to a distinguished panel of judges, including musician and investor Tinie Tempah, Dame Jess Ennis-Hill, and Dragon’s Den star Sam Jones, alongside Santander’s CEO Mike Regnier and Chairman William Vereker.

We extend our congratulations to all the winners and finalists, particularly Intotum, which secured 1st place for its stylish functional clothing designed for people with disabilities, and RREACT, which achieved 2nd place for its contrast-enhanced super-resolution ultrasound imaging technology for early cancer treatment assessment.
